An Australian woman was mistaken for a professional wedding cake maker after sharing pictures of the stunning creation she made with Woolworths cakes for her mother.
Blansch made a four-tier white fondant wedding cake that was decorated with flowers, a wedding bell, pearl confetti, and figurines.
“I made this wedding cake for my mother’s wedding. The lower levels are dummy cakes with the exception of the upper level. I used two of those little white chocolate cakes from Woolies, ”she wrote, sharing pictures with the Woolies / Coles Mudcake Hacks Facebook group.
Blansch said her mother encouraged her to bake the cake and she decided to try it out.
Despite limited baking experience, Blansch made a breathtaking four-tier wedding cake for her mother with Woolworths cake (picture).
“The top step was just enough for my mother, her husband, and the maid of honor and best man to have a piece each,” she said.
“The Woolies cakes allowed me to really focus on the fun and creative side of cake making.”
Blansch said she had been turning the cheap Woolworths cakes into stunning decorative desserts for two years and used the Facebook group to seek inspiration.
