Couple Use Canceled Wedding Catering Deposit To Feed 200 People | The Bobby Bones Show
Emily Bugg and Billy Lewis I was hoping to have a big wedding ceremony this year, but things changed because of the pandemic.
Despite their unfortunate luck, they decided to donate their catering deposit to help provide food to people in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. The couple used theirs $ 5,000 non-refundable deposit Buying 200 Thanksgiving dinners for those in need of a nice meal. Bugg works as an outreach worker at Threshold, so meals went to customers there. Threshold is a non-profit mental health provider serving people struggling with severe mental illness and substance abuse conditions.
Bugg and Lewis got married this year. They married in Chicago City Hall and skipped a major wedding event. Bugg told Good morning America, “We’re excited to be married, and we’re so happy to help Thresholds customers feel the connection of a Thanksgiving meal as a result of the wedding being canceled.”
