The couple’s wedding cake features a figure of their beloved dog
For the newlyweds Roisin & Hunter Bicklmeier, there was no question that their Golden Retriever named Bear would play a role on their wedding day. As they had planned for the occasion, they wanted him to be involved as much as possible. From the moment he walked down the aisle to the Bear’s Biscuit Bar, where guests could take dog bags home for their dogs, the adorable puppy could be seen all day. Perhaps the most adorable element with a bear motif, however, was the couple’s wedding cake. The three-tier dessert included a small bear figure staged as if he had taken a bite out of the cake.
“We worked with Darci’s amazing kake and told her that we wanted to incorporate Bear into our wedding cake,” explains Roisin Bicklmeier. “I told her I had brought a little gold figure and wondered if she could put it on the back of the cake as a hidden detail to do something naughty like dirty paw prints or whatever. She told me she was dying to involve him and I didn’t really know what she was up to until I saw it that day! “
From the front, the all-white cake looks absolutely delicious, decorated with flowers and a “Happy Ever After” topper. On the other side is the little bear figure with paws and nose covered with icing. Next to him is a small piece of the cake taken. The cute creation is not far from reality. Reveals Roisin, “I absolutely loved it as Bear absolutely would have taken a bite out of the cake if he had the chance.”
