The local wedding planner says smaller weddings could be here to stay post-pandemic on MyPanhandle.com
PANAMA CITY, Florida (WMBB) – A local event planner said she was concerned about the future of her business as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Lateesha Steele owns Perfectly Planned Events in Panama City.
She said at the start of the pandemic she was afraid she would be forced to go out of business.
However, she said that business will pick up again in 2021.
She said more people are calling for elopements or weddings with around 20 guests.
Steele said she thinks “microwaves” will stay here even after the pandemic.
“I definitely believe it will stay here. It’s budget friendly, pocket-friendly and you can still enjoy life afterward, ”said Steele. “Three to four years later, you no longer have to pay for your wedding. I think it’s a great idea and I think there are a lot more packages of ‘microweddings’ coming up. “
Steele said during the pandemic they had offered masks and disinfection stations at their scheduled events. She said her goal is to make sure people are comfortable with her events during this time.
