Touching meaning behind Princess Beatrice’s wedding flowers while paying tribute to Queen

When it came to choosing the flowers for her big day, Princess Beatrice apparently wanted them to be not only beautiful but also meaningful.

In a touching nod to her grandmother, 31-year-old Queen Beatrice chose the monarch’s secret florist for her secret Friday morning wedding ceremony.

Martin Crossley made a bold bouquet of summer flowers in soft hues, including pinks and greens.

He tweeted a photo of Beatrice’s bouquet on Instagram along with the comment: “Flowers for the royal bride Princess Beatrice of York after her wedding to Mr. Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi this morning in Windsor Great Park.”

Mr Crossley has provided flowers to the royal family for many years, including a wreath of wild primroses in memory of the Queen’s mother.

And not only does the Queen draw on his expertise, but also the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Anne and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

Since the princess married 37-year-old Edoardo ‘Edo’ Mapelli Mozzi on Friday morning, news has come out about the king’s dress, guest list and flowers.

The pandemic canceled the bride and groom’s original plans for a major event in May, and the couple opted for a micro-wedding with fewer than 20 guests in attendance instead.

While the exact details of the wedding dress are unknown, the Daily Mail reports that she chose the gown she was planning to wear in May.

And the fashion expert Melita Latham gave some insights into the dress.

She told the Express that Beatrice’s “rebellious nature” was never far from the surface. She said, “I would expect her bridal outfit to be veiled, a ball gown, quite a lacy style.

“We should expect a shiny fabric, a detailed dress with possibly more color than you would expect at a royal wedding.”

Her sister Princess Eugenie had a thistle for Scotland on her dress, a shamrock for Ireland, the York Rose and ivy for Ivy Cottage to represent the couple’s home.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Beatrice had the York Rose in her own dress somewhere.

There were only a handful of royals on the guest list. Grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, attended the service.

It is believed that parents Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, as well as sister Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brookbank celebrated the couple.

Edo’s son Christopher, known as Wolfie, was supposed to be his “little” best man, so it is believed he was in attendance.

The groom’s parents, Nikki Shale and Alex Mapelli Mozzi, who are divorced, were in attendance, and it is believed that Nikki’s new husband, David Williams-Ellis, has joined her.
